Book of Mormon 121
Day 1
There is a power in the book that will begin to flow into your life the moment you begin a serious study of the book. You will find greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to avoid deception. you will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow path. (ET Benson Oct. 86 Gen Conf.)

3. Outside Reading- Book of the Week, "Lehi in the Wilderness-81 NEW, documented evidences that the Book of Mormon is a true history" by George Potter and Richard Wellington.
10 Things I learned from reading this book. 1) From May-October temperatures along the trail was consistently over 120 degrees in the shade. The Caravan business was a seasonal activity. 2) Lehi's group probably followed the Frankincense Trail where they would have interacted with of travelers, buying, trading, paying tolls and stopping at established water wells. 3) Olive wood is good for making bows and arrows. They used animal intestines for string. 4) The authors feel certain that they have identified the Valley of Lemuel. I loved how they described it as a perfect back drop for Lehi's dream. 5) It would be much more difficult to believe that Joseph Smith could have written on this account on his own with so much accurate detail than to believe what I believe. 6) The size of the colony may have been much larger than what I have always thought. The authors estimated it to be 75. The Hiltons 73. John Tvedtnes 68. 7) They did a great job of explaining the complexities of building, launching, outfitting and sailing a ship. 8) They paid a great tribute to the greatness of Nephi. 9) They paid a great tribute to the greatness of Joseph Smith. 10)At the end of the book they listed 81 statement by Nephi in the Book of Mormon regarding the journey which are substantiated by their six years of research.
